There's an unexpected side effect of the patch, people are starting to avoid group quests.
Group gameplay has got harder, which means people aren't attempting group content under level as they get pummled. A lot of the quest rewards just suck. With the item revamp green loot is ****, and I'm disappointed how many group quests have green rewards.
I don't mind the content being harder, but the rewards need to be better. If the content is harder, and the rewards worse, nobody is going to bother. On PvE servers (you know, full of people who want to play PvE content) people are just racing to 80 solo before starting group content. Before then there's only a small percentage of group content that is worthwhile.
Tanks seem to be having the hardest time of it and seem to just crumple unless they are over-levelled (speaking as a Barb, not rooting for my own class). Well equipped skilled tanks seem to be doing okay, but there's so many tanks on PvE servers now that are levelling up and simply not fit to perform their role, and it's quite a pivotal role.
I'll repeat, hard content is okay, but it needs to be rewarding enough to encourage groups to form.
